This book, I could never forget, one of my most favourite books Trying to describe the wonderful story of this novel, would only do well in not serving it justice as the great story it is, the only review I can give is to tell you to READ IT. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here This is my least favourite novel by French On the face of it the storytelling is intriguing, however it is written in two time periods, the 16th century and the present and when these eras meet it is underwhelming I think the fantasy time travel aspect of this detracts from the quality of the historical research overall. Michel, Rachel, the Captain and the White Ship a vessel sailing the seas for 400 years good history lesson but overall, the plot left me dissatisfied. A brilliant story told through the eyes of two children Michel Rachel Although both children live on islands love their families that is where their similarities end Michel is from 1572 France and is forced to leave his family behind along with the other children from his island to escape religious persecution, not knowing what will happen to their parents or even to themselves once they leave and Rachel is from Australia 2002 who just wants to escape from the sounds, sights and smells of A brilliant story told through the eyes of two children Michel Rachel Although both children live on islands love their families that is where their similarities end Michel is from 1572 France and is forced to leave his family behind along with the other children from his island to escape religious persecution, not knowing what will happen to their parents or even to themselves once they leave and Rachel is from Australia 2002 who just wants to escape from the sounds, sights and smells of town life to her family island for the weekend It was good and it made me cry which i guess means it was well written It was easy to read This book was really good and I think Jackie French is awesome The White Ship by Jackie French 2002 I enjoyed this Can Jackie French write a bad story I doubt it
