trying to have a baby The characters in this book could not be included in either category Taylor was not an attractive love interest, and the heroine whose name I have already forgotten was a very weak and flat protag I felt nothing towards the characters, nor the plot besides annoyance at the too fast pace Also, the lack of comma usage made some passages laughable This definitely could ve done with someediting.I know the author states made a disclaimer saying that the themes of this novel are nothing like Fifty Shades of Grey, but really, there were several parallels I must admit that I did not enjoy either novel I know my opinion is in the minority here, but Whore did not reach my expectations Don t let the name of the book fool you because the main character Laura Burns is anything but Taylor s means of assistant is for Laura to explore her inner whore What.she s still a virgin for God s sake. The book takes on twists and turns and Taylor is an Alpha male but during the book changes occur and the characters developed in different ways I would highly recommend this book.I received an ARC from the author in exchange for a honest review I was really intrigued by the idea for this in the span of 1 to 2 weeks that this book covers Almost unbelievably quickly I also didn t really see what these two liked about each other besides their sexual encounters I m having a hard time recalling any in depth conversations where they get to know each other. Also, the word pleasure was used way too much and it drove me crazy.I m always on the search for something different in the books the aspect of rent When Taylor Ross comes into the coffee shop he s not sure what to expect He has assumptions as to why his father would put a woman he s never heard of into his will What he definitely doesn t expect is what he gets She s young, she s beautiful, and she s not willing to take the money Taylor Ross offers Laura a position at his business When she looks up the company she knows it s a very successful business and assumes she ll start at entry level She dresses in her Sunday best and is hoping this job will make the best on the situations in her life that at the worst, dire You know what they say about assumptions As this books goes on, you could say it s a lesson in assumptions They both assume things of each other Both are wrong inways than one Can they move past it all Even if just to enjoy each other Even if it s just releasing a physical ache brought on by the other This book will have you ready to chase Taylor down First, because who doesn t want a gorgeous alpha billionaire Second, for he s done to Laura Third, to see if he ll do it again Taylor is the alpha you d love to love and love to hate He s so mixed up from his own childhood that he can only find physical happiness He knows when he takes Laura what will happen, but won t admit it to himself or her He doesn t do relationships He takes what he needs, when he needs it, until he doesn t need it any Laura is the girl you fall in love with, the innocent heroine She s down on her luck and always has been When life hands her the lifesaver she reaches for it, but is always wondering at what cost She wants a life of the straight and narrow, but when need overcomes want things get blurry At no point does she want to lose her self respect This book is a perfect read I finished it in a night and loved every word of it There is a constant struggle between the characters, even when they have no idea it s there There is a struggle inside themselves as well They are both products of selfish people and have seen what can wreak It s refreshing to read this kind of romance where the L word isn t suddenly getting thrown around While Laura may be un experienced, she s stronger than that She proves her worth time and again While I loved the ending, I wish there was a littlestory before the epilogue I would have liked to have readabout the in between How did point C go to D Of course, I d just likeof the story because I thoroughly enjoyed it This is a book that is about the story, not so much the scenes If your only after the scenes, don t worry they are by far enough This isn t Cinderella Taylor isn t Prince Charming It sBeauty The Beast The characters have flaws and it makes you connect with them evenfor it This book is a definite 5 STAR romance. It s the first book I But the story flowed naturally from one scene to the next, resulting in a completely original, well written, and captivating tale Well done Laura Burns is a 20 year old coffee shop waitress in dire straits see what I mean about clich But don t let the beginning fool you Her self centered mother has abandoned her for husband number five, leaving Laura with a meager savings and a mortgage to pay All Laura wants is a stable life, and the ability to go to college But her mother s selfish behavior has repeatedly set Laura back from her goals Laura is innocent, slightly damaged, and presents in a way that moved me I have to say at this point how much I loved this character I cried for her onthan one occasion, and felt my heart breaking for her needless suffering.Laura meets Taylor Ross, who introduces himself to her as the son of a customer who has recently passed away He states that his father wanted Laura to be taken care of, and to have her education expenses covered Laura thanks him but refuses the offer Instead, he offers her a job that seems too good to be true, as a way to assist her with her education costs but his plans involvethan Laura s innocence and lack of experience can understand Unique and clever, with well developed characters, this book was humorous, moving, and infuriating all at the same time The author did a fantastic job with pacing, and in the unveiling of mini reveals throughout the story I enjoyed it immensely A must read Reviewed by Kelli5 STARS
