Very funny, Faith was laughing out loud. Hurty Feelings is about a hippo named Fragility This was because every time something was said, even if it was meant to be a compliment, she would get her feelings hurt She constantly had this happen and constantly was crying Other hippos started to not be friends with her in fear of hurting her feelings But one day during a pick up soccer game an elephant named Rudy came and tired to eat their goal Fragility stood and protected her goal so Rudy decided to insult her to get her to move She Hurty Feelings is about a hippo named Fragility This was because every time something was said, even if ended up saying, so you think I look like an Elephant and then Rudy was hurt and started to cry Fragility comforted him and they became friends In the end the others were happy and started to cheer for her Fragility was about to cry because of what they were calling her but just said thank you and was happy with it.I think an overall theme of this book is to show how words can hurt but also you cant take everything so personal or make it seem as though it was intended to be mean With Fragility taking everything as a mean statement towards her she was always upset but when in the end when she realized it wasn t intended to be mean she took it and was happy Finally, this shows how people also may not intend to hurt your feelings or be mean. When reading I found myself questioning why she was taking everything as negative when they seemed to try and compliment her Everything seemed to make her cry but in the end she comes to realize it might actually not be intended to hurt her.I recommend this book as though i think it teaches feelings and how words might effect someone Also, it shows how she progresses from being always sad to realizing she doesn t have to be and that others aren t always trying to hurt her feelings I liked the message of the book and how it shows the importance of thinking before you act on impulse I love this book It raises so many issues to think about It lets us delve into sensitivity, rudeness, people trying to show us love, people purposely trying to hurt and manipulate us to get what they want We see things that Fragility is good at, and things she struggles with We get to see ourselves Talking Points Which end of the scale do you tend to be on, are you super sensitive and easily get your feelings hurt, or are you pretty rock solid about your doTERRA s Adaptiv essential Oil blend is the perfect blend to diffuse when reading this book Sometimes things don t go exactly as we want them to go Adaptiv can help us go with the flow, help open our mind to other possibilities, help open our heart to the love that others are trying to give us Try diffusing it or rolling it on I m guessing you re going to love it First of all, Fragility the you think what happened is kinda funny but mostly, the annoyance of the main character is not worth it didn t love this one because it seems to encourage, maybe unintentionally, children to fight fire
